Calls for Art 2026
We welcome your submissions to various open call shows throughout the year. Pieces are due at OAC generally the weekend before show opens – see each show for specific dates. Some shows, such as the Juried Show, will have different requirements or entry fees, which will be updated as information is available. Work will be reviewed upon submission, and must be exhibit-ready. See show application forms for specific details of entry and participation.
Artists are welcome to apply for a featured artist spot in our North Hall at any point during the year, when space is available. Contact Julie White at gallery@oliverart.org for more information. To propose an exhibition in our Fisher Room Gallery or our Beck and Borwell Galleries, please use this form. We typically schedule exhibits up to two years in advance, though occasionally spots will be open throughout the year. You are welcome to submit a proposal at any time.

BOO! OCTOBER 2 – OCTOBER 31
A celebration of spooky fun, BOO! will feature artwork in all media in this open call exhibit. From ominous landscape photos to skeleton-inspired ceramics, we will have a bit of fun with this seasonal show. Get in the Halloween spirit with us as we explore original works that just might send a shiver down your spine!
As this is an ongoing thematic feature, artwork may be sold and taken home at the time of purchase. Therefore, we will be accepting submissions throughout the month. Send in your application today!

SLEEPING BEAR COAST FALL PAINT-OUT OCTOBER 18
Fall Splendor is coming – join us for a fun and friendly paint-out day October 18th at The Homestead in Glen Arbor Michigan!
Join the Oliver Art Center and The Homestead for our inaugural Sleeping Bear Coast Fall Paint-Out! Gather with fellow artists to capture the stunning autumn beauty of northern Michigan on the beautiful grounds of The Homestead in Glen Arbor.
This one-day event starts with check-in and coffee, provides ample painting time until 4 pm, and then concludes with a pizza party, public Wet Paint Sale, and wine reception. Event headquarters will be at the cozy Firefly Lodge with on-site parking, and room packages are available if you want to make a weekend of it. - Registration Fee: $25.00 ($20.00 for OAC members). Note: Fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.

- Bonus perk: up to six works will be selected for display in The Homestead’s Welcome Center through the holiday season for potential sale to their visitors and homeowners – a proven sales outlet.

2026 WINTER MARKET AT OAC
The OAC Winter Market is a juried collection of handmade arts and crafts items that is showcased in the Fisher Room Gallery at Oliver Art Center from November 6th through December 24th.
Winter Market hours will be Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 – 4:00 pm. The OAC is open to the public and there is no admission fee. OAC staff handles all of the setup and sales for the duration of the market. Please fill out the interest form below to be considered for the Oliver Art Center Winter Market.
