Calls for Art 2025

We welcome your submissions to the following shows throughout the year. Pieces are due at OAC generally the weekend before show opens – see each show for specific dates. Some shows, such as the Juried Show, will have different requirements or entry fees, which will be updated as information is available. Work will be reviewed upon submission, and must be exhibit-ready. See show application forms for specific details of entry and participation.

Artists are welcome to apply for a FEATURED ARTIST spot in our North Hall at any point during the year, when space is available.  Contact Julie White Pierce at gallery@oliverart.org for more information. To propose an exhibition in our Fisher Room Gallery or our Beck and Borwell Galleries, please use this form.

2025 CALLS FOR ART

 

ALL MEDIA JURIED EXHIBITION:

2025 Annual All Media Juried Exhibit opens September 12th, Beck and Borwell Galleries

Our annual juried show highlights impeccable work across a range of media. Independent jurors select works submitted from across Michigan, and awards are presented in several categories.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

MEDIA: All media are accepted.
ENTRY: Up to TWO pieces will be accepted for jury, not to exceed a total of 48″ on any side without prior approval.
(Only one piece per artist will be accepted as “not for sale”)
JURY FEE: OAC Members: $20 per entry, Non-Members: $25 per entry
SUBMISSION: Submit work via online form no later than Friday, September 5th at 4:00 pm.
JURYING: Jurying will take place electronically, on September 6th. Our juror this year is Rufus Snoddy. Notifications of acceptance will be sent via email starting at 5pm on Saturday Sept. 6th.
DROP OFF: Please drop off accepted work on Sunday Sept. 7th between Noon and 3:30 pm. (No exceptions as we have a tight hanging and award judging timeline to maintain.)
AWARD JUDGING: Individual awards will be decided by the juror in person, once the accepted works are hung. Cash awards will be presented in several categories.
RECEPTION: September 12, 5:00 pm -7:00 pm. All are welcome, refreshments will be served. The building will be CLOSED from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
PICK UP: PLEASE PICK UP ARTWORK Saturday, October 11th. (No exceptions without prior approval.)

WINTER ARTISAN MARKET AT OAC:

Our 2025 Winter Market will open its doors Saturday, November 7th in the Fisher Room at the Oliver Art Center, featuring a remarkable collection of handmade gift items from a wide range of Michigan-based artists. Artists must jury to participate, there is no jury or application fee. We are looking for original works that are handmade by you and that would be perfect for gifting. Print goods like holiday cards or calendars are acceptable if they are of your original artwork.

Winter Market Hours: November 7th – December 24th
Monday – CLOSED
Tuesday – Saturday; 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday – Noon to 4:00 pm

Admission: Always free!
