2-Day Digital Photography Workshop with Robert Ashmun
Description:
NOTE: THIS CLASS MEETS ON TWO DAYS (SOME IN-CLASS, AND SOME OUTDOORS - CALL OAC IF RAIN DATE IS NECESSARY)
This program will be directed towards those who are comfortable wiht the basic camera functions of shutter speed, lens aperture, exposure control, etc. A tripod and a camera that allows manual settings are required. The class will be broken into two parts.
Part 1: 3-4 hours in the classroom with visual presentations reviewing a variety of topics (composition, lighting, color vs. b/w, focus stacking, HDR, depth of field, slow shutter speeds, and more). After a break, students will meet at a designated location to shoot photos with later afternoon light. 12-4 pm, 5-8pm
Part 2: The following day, students will again meet at OAC to work on post-production effects. Expand your digital photography skills! 12-4pm
Instructor Info: Robert Ashmun is a lifelong member of the Professional Photographers of America and has earned the degrees of Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman through the association. He is a strong advocate of continuing education to keep up with changes in the industry and he has taught his style and technique of photographing families and high school seniors to other professionals at national seminars for many years. Robert owns Ashmun Portrait Art studio in Leelanau County and has hosted workshops in Sedona Arizona and locally. His published book of techniques help his students with off-camera flash and building inexpensive backgrounds.
