Blown Glass Ornament Experience - with John Rath and his mobile glass forge!
Description:
Work with a master glass artist to blow your own colorful glass ornament!John’s portable glassblowing setup makes it possible for you to experience real glass blowing without having to go to a studio. Handmade ornaments can be made and annealed (slowly cooled) and can be taken home in a little more than an hour. Up to four participants are scheduled each hour, and John will run his workshops for several hours at each visit.
Price is $45/members and $50 for Non-Members.
PLEASE NOTE: SESSIONS ARE BY SCHEDULED 15-MINUTE APPOINTMENTS. YOU ARE NOT GUARANTEED YOUR PREFERRED TIME SLOT UNLESS YOU CALL OAC TO RESERVE.

Instructor Info: John Rath spent 39 years as a Retirement Plan Actuary, and then dove into glass blowing after his wife pressured him to attend a glass workshop one day and he found that he enjoyed it! John has been studying the art ever since, and now owns Left Brain Hot Glass and operates his mobile glassblowing workshop at festivals, shops, and for private parties.
