Join us at Oliver Art Center at 5 pm on September 26th as former OAC Executive Director Steve Brown brings his two engaging new poetry collections to life through readings and storytelling. The more than 80 poems contained in Trample & Sew and News of Need capture people and places in the process of loving and losing, being left out and worked over, but not without the hope of revelation or redemption. This writing has the eye of a reporter, the touch of a painter, and the heart of a storyteller. The event, like Brown’s writing, is meant for a general audience and hopes to connect with listeners and readers on a gut level. Admission to the one-hour event is free and includes readings and a book sale and signing.
Beck Gallery, 5pm, free to the public.
