Youth Summer Art Camp

Summer Art Camp

We can’t wait for Summer…

2023 Summer Art Camp is expanded to a four-day week!  We’re including a wide variety of media, techniques, and activities, including some fun collaborative projects (such as some fun sculptures for our outdoor spaces, stepping stones, or possibly a mural)!  We are grateful to have a creative collective of amazing teachers this year, including Jennifer Flynn, Karla Haan, and Lori Barry (plus some special guests!)  In addition to some of the tried-and-true favorites like drawing, painting, and printmaking, this year students will be exploring “upcycling” (using repurposed found objects), nature art (using bark, stones, flowers, or even campfire “charcoal”), kitchen art (making art supplies out of things you can find in your kitchen), paper making and fiber arts, beeswax candles, and more.

Our updated and expanded Summer Art Camp will be sure to keep even the most hard-to-entertain kiddos off their devices and into hands-on projects. With rotating instructors each day, camp will offer a range of fun and creative projects designed to provide each student with an experience they won’t soon forget. Register online now – spots are limited to 15 students per week. All materials are provided.

For kids age 7-12.  Four camp sessions are held weekly  Mondays – Thursdays from July 10 through August 24th.
Class times are 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Registration is for a week of camp, register for as many weeks as you like – each day will be different!

At Oliver Art Center, we strive to create opportunities for everyone. While much of our programming is free, many of our classes utilize talented, experienced instructors who we compensate appropriately for their time and skill. However, we do have a scholarship fund set aside to assist when classes are just beyond reach for some of our students. To inquire, please contact our Program Director, Julie Pierce, for information on how to apply!
